
Today, we launched a brand-new checkout experience for our long-standing client, OK Vape, with whom we’ve proudly worked for over 10 years.
The design was provided by the client, and we collaborated closely with their team to integrate it seamlessly into the existing theme. By leveraging the latest features of the theme, we implemented a step-by-step, distraction-free layout that guides users smoothly through the checkout process.
The numbered steps create a clear and intuitive flow, enhancing the overall user experience and reducing friction at the final stage of the purchasing journey.
Of course, every project comes with its challenges, and this one was no exception. One key customization involved reversing WooCommerce’s default checkout flow, switching the billing address to appear first and the delivery address second. This required careful handling to ensure that validation remained fully functional without disrupting the natural user flow.
We also refined the shipping method selection, replacing the default dropdown with radio buttons for a more user-friendly experience. To further improve transparency, we incorporated estimated delivery dates, providing customers with clear expectations at checkout.
From a development standpoint, we utilized SCSS and CSS Grid to structure key elements, significantly reducing the need for extra responsive adjustments. This approach helped maintain a clean, flexible layout across all screen sizes, making for a smoother and more efficient development process.
Before going live, we conducted extensive cross-device testing using BrowserStack, ensuring flawless performance across multiple browsers and devices.
